Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the northern central parts of the Northern Cape on Thursday.
Minimum temperatures are expected to be cool to cold across most of the country, including the West Coast, the southern coastline, and the central and northern parts of the country, with warm morning conditions along the East Coast, including KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
The coldest place in South Africa is expected to be Sutherland in the Northern Cape, dropping to a below-freezing -5°C.
Maximum temperatures are expected to be cool across most parts of the country, including the Western Cape, the Eastern Cape, southern parts of the Northern Cape, the Free State, and KZN. Moderate conditions can be expected across the northern parts of the country, including the northern parts of the Northern Cape, the North West, Gauteng, the northern border including Limpopo, and Mpumalanga.
The hottest places in South Africa will be Skukuza in Mpumalanga, and Musina and Lephalale in Limpopo, all reaching a high of 30°C.
Pretoria is expected to experience a maximum of 26°C, while Johannesburg is expected to have a high of 25°C. A high of 23°C is predicted for Bloemfontein.
Along the coastal regions, Cape Town is expected to reach 20°C, Port Elizabeth 23°C and Durban 26°C.
