Heavy rainfall expected over Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal

The South African Weather Service has issued a yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rain expected in parts of the eastern areas of the Eastern Cape and the extreme southern KwaZulu-Natal. 

The weather in your province: 

Partly cloudy and warm conditions are expected in Gauteng, with isolated thundershowers from the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme. 

Mpumalanga will be cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld.

In Limpopo, conditions will be cloudy in the east with morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in the western Bushveld.

Partly cloudy and warm to hot weather is expected in the North West, with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The Free State will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered on areas around Lesotho.

In the Northern Cape, cloudy conditions with fog patches in the extreme west are expected at first, otherwise partly cloudy weather with isolated showers and thundershowers in the central and eastern areas.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly, becoming strong in the afternoon.

Conditions in the Western Cape will be cloudy becoming partly cloudy and cool to warm with early morning isolated showers over the extreme south. Showers will be scattered along the south coast in the south.

The wind along the coast will be fresh southerly to south-westerly, becoming strong south-easterly in the late afternoon along the west and south-west coast.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high. 

Cloudy conditions are expected along the coast of the western half of the Eastern Cape and the adjacent interior. There will be scattered showers and rain, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers. 

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

The eastern half of the Eastern Cape will be cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the east.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

KwaZulu-Natal will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the extreme south-west.

It will be fine and hot in places in the north, becoming partly cloudy.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly, becoming south-westerly from the extreme south.
